Large Dutch Colonial Mahogany and Ebony Blanket Chest

This large, beautiful antique trunk was hand crafted with a flat, lift top. It features ebony moulding on all edges of the mahogany body. Notice the very elaborate, decorative, cut and pierced brass escutcheons on the front and on the sides for the hefty carrying handles. The interior displays decoratively cut, brass hinges. It is a wonderful storage piece, but also makes a great coffee table.
