Designed with the simple lines of a provincial, federal period piece, this hand fashioned, close-to-double-size bed was crafted with the four posts in a reserved, tapering, ring and urn turned design, over round, tiered legs. The headboard has a straight top with cutouts on the sides. It retains the original, hefty side rails for the original rope bed, but is now fitted with iron brackets to hold a recessed mattress.
This piece does require a custom mattress.
