This beautiful, early piece was hand crafted with an extremely deft hand. The double scalloped edge is finely executed and the gilt garland around the body, exquisitely rendered with the finest of tracery. The piece displays centuries of use, but retains much of the original red background and gilt details. Notice the gilt border inside the bowl. . .a most unusual detail. With a bit of rustic charm, it still makes an elegant accessory.
