This early piece was hand crafted in the traditional form, with a double, scalloped edge on the oval body, and small side handles. With a black, enameled finish, it was decorated with two oval panels depicting Chinese scenes in polychrome, with gilt accents. It makes a charming, small accessory. It displays later restoration to the painted finish.
