This long and narrow, provincial bench was hand fashioned in a classic, simple form, with mortised construction; the legs extending through the thick, plank top, and the side stretchers, through the legs. Beaded detail runs along the bottom of the top and down the legs. The spandrels continue to form a small apron. This is a handy, useful form; great in a hallway or for use with a dining table.
