This beautiful, small trunk was hand fashioned in the manner of provincial Tibet. With a black background, it features a polychrome, painted floral scene on the front panel and small, flower-form designs on the ends. Notice the finely crafted brass hardware, with pierced and etched cloud-form designs. It is a great example of Asian folk art, and a useful piece.
