A well-executed copy of a 17th century side chair, this tall back piece displays a floral and scroll crest over a floral carved back splat that is fashioned in three, vertical sections, and the slender side supports are surmounted by carved finials. The fine legs display slight turning and support a box stretcher and decorative, elaborately floral carved, raised, front stretcher. It makes an interesting and decorative occasional chair.
