In the style of Thomas Hope, this impressive console was fashioned with a mottled, white marble top, having a deeply moulded edge. It has two drawers flanked by rosette blocks over broad, reeded, S scroll front legs that terminate on carved, stylized paw feet. The flat rear legs display simple, incised outlines, repeated along the back. It makes an important decorating statement and a perfect, entryway piece.
