Crafted in a square, column form on a raised plinth, this charming, old tobacco can features a seated lion holding a shield, on the top of the lid. The piece is painted a very dark, forest green with the lion and shielld and a rim on the cover, gilded. A painted design on the front is also gilt and depicts crossed pipes and fire poker withing a delicate, bowed wreath.
