Unmarked, but in the style of Elkington & Co. and the manner of the artist, Morel Ladeuil, this decorative footed plate depicts an elaborate, classical scene with Eros plying his art above a scene of revelry. It was made of electroplate over copper, and displays the blush of years of polish. The knofped stem is labeled in latin: Dies (Day), Nox (Night) and Tepvs (?).
