Herter Brothers, New York (founded 1865). Attributed to Herter Brothers, unsigned. Made of hardwoods, the drawers of polished cherrywood,with wooden peg drawer stops. Original ebonized finish. Elegant japanaise inlaid panels in several colored woods with original heavy cast brass hardware. Later marble top. Some wear to surface but no abuse or damage.
