Early Portuguese Colonial Caned Teak Stool
(Item: CH1716)
Found in Goa, India, this elegant, small bench was hand fashioned in the Chippendale tradition. It features a caned seat atop graceful, cabriole legs with hand carved shell knees and well-defined lion's paw feet; as well as an ogee apron and a turned box stretcher. It would make a smart window seat or even a low table next to a chair. It is also a truly collectible period piece.
