Baron Francois-Joseph Bosio (Monaco, b. 1768-Paris, d. 1845).
An important French sculptor, Napoleon I commissioned him to make the bas-reliefs for the column of the Place Vendôme. King Louis XVIII made him a court sculptor, and Charles X bestowed the title baron on him.
Freestanding figure representing Henry IV as an young boy. Signed on the right edge of the base, "Bosio". Missing his sword blade.
