This piece is of typical construction for this type of candlestick. It is cast in two pieces and screws together at the base by coarse hand made threads. The candlestick may have been silvered at one time.There is evidence of silver at the bottom. The base is slightly bent causing a slight lean to the stick as most do. Overall the piece has typical wear and is in good condition considering its age and functional use for its time. There is no evidence of repairs.
