This rare cross was hand fashioned with silver overlay on a rosewood base. It features an applied ribbon of silver with the inscription: INRI, applied, rococo decoration on the three ends, an applied star burst and surprising detail at the bottom: a skull and crossbones. It is an interesting piece for modern usage. It was originally used in holy processions.
