This graceful chair was fashioned in beautiful proportion. It features a large, gilt shell, hand carved on the tall crest rail; a detail repeated on the center of the apron. The slender back splat in nicely shaped and the arms flare out a bit. Gentle cabriole legs support a French style, somewhat scrolled, H stretcher. The old, pale green paint shows soft wear of generations of use. Seat: 17"
