Hand carved, with thoughtful detail, this figure depicts a stately woman in a colorful, beautifully draped sari; the traditional dress. She is portrayed wearing necklaces and wrist and ankle bangles. With the left nostril pierced, she no doubt wore the traditional nose ring; an artifact now missing. The sculpture retains most of the original polychrome finish and closely matches D1070.
