Found in Kerala, this writing desk was fashioned in pedestal style, with three drawers at the top and the unusual feature of double doors on each of the pedestal sides. The two tones of wood are highlighted by floral-form porcelain knobs with delicate, hand painted details. This piece is of generous size, but light in proportion.
