Hand carved in India, this floor-standing torchiere features a scalloped, tin bobeche over a beautifully turned, baluster stem that terminates on a square, footed base. The piece was colorfully painted in tones of soft red, blue and gold with green, foliate details on one of the urn elements and accents of faux marble on others. It does retain its original, hand forged iron pricket. This is a wonderful example of folk art and will add charm to any room.
