Hand crafted in Eastlake style, this Anglo Indian arm chair was designed with a barrel shaped top rail, curving spandrels and a caned seat. It sits atop flared back legs and spiral-turned front legs that feature floral carving at the top and terminate on block feet.
Provenance: University of Mumbai (formerly Bombay). Established in 1857 as one of the first educational institutions by the English in India. It was built in the Neo-Gothic style and modelled after English universities.
