Probably Iberian in origin, this quaint wall mirror emulates the fashion of smaller versions of the late 18th century; pieces carried in a case and used to refresh makeup, as ladies of the period went calling. The mirrored sections are set into a painted, wooden frame, surmounted by a crest that depicts a bucolic, painted scene of a couple. It retains the original mirror and makes a charming, decorative accessory.
