This early chair was hand crafted in baronial form. It features a high, straight back, very large, scrolled arms, and scrolled front legs with an ogee H stretcher. Small, hand carved "ears" were added on the top. It retains a very early, embossed, black leather upholstery with brass nail heads. The piece displays some restoration and reinforcement; not unusual for a piece its age. It makes a strong decorating statement.
