Beautifully hand fashioned, with an arched top, this Norman cupboard features extensive carving throughout. The body is surrounded by a laurel leaf border; a motif echoed in incised borders around the doors. Notice the floral carving at the top, on the drawers at the center of the piece, and on the bottom doors; the upper doors having small scroll designs in the corners of each of two panels. The scalloped base features shell carving and the piece sits on small escargot feet.
