Retaining much of the original, black and red, lacquered finish, each of this pair of armchairs was hand fashioned with tiny, pierced spandrels in the top corners of the backs and a carved, calligraphy medallion in the center of the curved back splat. The delicate arms have curved upright supports and a continuous, cloud-form spandrel spans the front legs. These make great extra side chairs with a decorative touch.
