Fashioned in rococo style, this large commode features a serpentine shaped front and sides. Comprising four large and commodious drawers, it affords great storage. Each drawer has rococo, cast brass pulls and escutcheons. The apron of this chest is elaborately carved with crosshatch, acanthus leaf and shell designs, and it terminates on small feet. It is a handsome and important piece.
