This early chair was fashioned with a high back, crowned with a shell pediment. The fairly long arms are scrolled at the ends and the front, cabriole legs terminate on braganza feet, supporting a turned, H stretcher. The piece sports a black and gold painted finish, echoing the black leather back and seat; hand tooled with rococo designs in red and gold. It is a decorative addition for any room and makes a strong decorating statement.
