This large, storage jar was hand crafted for home use. It is of tall form with a slight lip around the top opening and a slightly tapered body. It features a gold glaze with brown decorations of flowers and birds within reserves. Notice the calligraphy in reserves on the shoulder; perhaps a signature, or designation of use. This piece is a handsome accessory and would be nice in a pottery grouping.
