(Item: TP0134)
This interesting clock is housed in an elaborate case that, upon first glance, looks to be a "grandfather clock". However, the movement is a Victorian period spring-wound form, without a pendulum; thus the open gallery, with a central shelf, on the front of the case. The top features Gothic architectural elements, with a peaked roof and steeple finials, and a brass dial with applied enameled cartouches displaying Roman numerals. The door to a small cabinet at the bottom displays linenfold carving.
