This extraordinarily beautiful box owes its elegance to the generous use of burled alder root, rarely found in pieces outside of Scandinavia. The beauty of the burled grain and simplicity of design is accented by outlines of birch crossbanding. The box retains its original key; necessary to open the bear claw lock.
