(Item: D1490)
This large mortar and pestle reflect a form common to the 16th century. The mortar was formed with a flared rim that displays raised, beaded details, and slightly extended base. The body displays raised vertical, ridged bars alternating with mascarons, surrounding the piece. It makes a great addition to a mortar collection, and an attractive accessory.
