(Item: C2350)
This lovely commode displays the distinctive, applied corner ornamentation, terminating on hoof-like feet, specific to the Toulouse area. The piece was made in a curved, shaped form with cartouche-shaped, recessed panels for the decorative, brass hardware on the three drawers, along with incised outlines for the keyhole escutcheons. It is a very early piece and good example of the period.
