Retaining the old, painted and gilt finish, this stand was hand fashioned with an egg-and-dart border around the top, a floral arcade below and an adaptation of a torch or urn on the tapering pedestal, which terminates on a small, square plinth with floral carved border around the top. It is quite decorative on its own, but will be a perfect base for a special work of art.
