(Item: M2203)
Found in France, this fairly small, continental mortar and pestle reflect a form common to the 16th century. The mortar was formed with a flared rim and slightly extended base. The body displays raised patterns with ridged, vertical lines framing very pretty floral patterns. It makes a great addition to a mortar collection, and an attractive accessory.
