Taken from the book, La Methode et Invention nouvelle de Dresser les Chevaux, by Royalist, William Cavendish, Duke of Newcastle, who founded a riding school in Paris, publishing this book in 1657. It illustrates the training of dressage to his horses at his Antwerp menage and various English estates like Bolsover Castle. This piece was later professionally hand painted. See also S-78-0002.
