Hand crafted in very graceful form, the back splat of each of this pair of tall back armchairs features a hand carved medallion in an adaptation of a Celtic knot. Each is fashioned with rounded members, a straight back, and open arms with curved spindles and cloud-form spandrels around the open bottom. The legs support double side stretchers, a back stretcher and front foot rest. Retaining some of the original dark red lacquer, this is a handsome pair.
