Found in Goa, India, this attractive and useful cabinet features a hand carved, pierced gallery of delicate scrolling grapevines around the top portion, which features double, glazed doors and carved, oval panels on the sides, emulating shirred fabric; echoed on the bottom piece also. The lower double doors display the fabric motif with figures of two birds in each corner, and grapevine borders. The apron displays egg-and-dart carving, and the piece terminates on boldly carved paw feet.
