This lovely, lift-top chest sits on a very stylized base. The top features inlaid ebony edges and an inlaid shield surrounding the keyhole escutcheon, bearing the monogram "A.S.". The dramatic base houses two drawers with a very deep, scrolled apron that is inlaid with ebony floral designs which are accented with ivory. It sits on short, nicely turned legs. A great storage piece, it is also very decorative.
