This open bookcase retains most of the original polychrome painted finish, in tones of red, blue, yellow and green. It was hand crafted with four sausage-turned poles holding three shelves. Each shelf features a small gallery on three sides and a tiny apron; each with pierced scalloping. It is an unusual piece, affording good book storage and display space in a casual setting.
