This impressive piece was fashioned with a dentil run over a drop-front that opens to reveal an interior secretaire. It sits over four sets of double drawers; each with beaded edge and displaying a hand carved pull in the form of a bellflower. The drawers are flanked by spiral, half-pilasters and the piece terminates on tiny, paw feet. It is a very lovely chest with a wonderful color and rich patina.
