Each side of this large desk houses three drawers set into a sloping, arcaded front with two larger drawers flanking the kneehole. Each side is set atop four fancifully turned and carved legs supporting a serpentine X stretcher with central finial. With cast brass pulls of the period, it is a very decorative piece and a very useful desk.
