This early, little flat-top trunk was later custom crafted to be a low cabinet with double doors on the front. It features dentil carving along the top of the front and the bottom, with a rustic adaptation of an egg-and-dart border below. The piece terminates on scrolled, shoe feet. The decorative, pierced panels flanking the doors are later additions.
