The style of this later chair was popular around the turn of the 18th century. It features a tall, arched back, long, slightly scrolled arms with hand carved acanthus leaf details, a fancifully carved, foliate front stretcher and lower, turned H stretcher. It has the interesting detail of boldly carved hairy paw feet at the front. The piece is currently upholstered in a colorful needlepoint fabric.
