(Item: A1425)
Knut Werner Dahlström founded Mjölby Decouperfabrik (1909) in Southern Sweden, which later became Mjolby Intarsia (1917). Intarsia is an ancient and laborious process of creating pictures by inlaying a variety of woods into a solid wood background. This frame features a scene of a lute player flanked by stylized flora and birds. It will be pretty over a small console or chest.
