This country piece was hand fashioned with an adaptation of a dressier, city, Chippendale back; the three, arched cross members displaying pierced patterns suggestive of ribbons. The chair was crafted with very slender legs, turned arm supports and double box stretchers. With a woven, rush seat, it is a pretty, little occasional piece for a casual setting.
