(Item: AR5206)
This early foo dog (or lion) displays the outdoor wear of its 18th century origin. It was hand carved as a symbol to ward off evil spirits at the entry to a house or garden. This one has an unusually fierce looking, toothy mouth and appears quite whimsical.
