This small sampler was hand wrought by a young girl on a course, linen fabric, predominately with cotton threads in tones of red and olive geen; the colors still vivid. It features several number and alaphabet combinations, divided by traditional borders. It is signed: Mary Wilkinson, October, 1807. It also includes the initials RW, SW and RW; perhaps denoting family members. It is housed in a reeded, oak frame.
