This lovely, George II, chest of two small drawers over three, displays the classic simplicity of a country piece of the period. Hand fashioned of the warmest of English walnut, it retains most of the original, brass hardware; with swan neck bails and oval keyhole escutcheons; missing the escutcheons on the lower drawers. The piece terminates on bracket feet, with especially appealing aprons on the sides. It is a wonderful cross between a provincial piece and its big city counterpart.
