This interesting piece comprises four, large, stacking boxes with hand forged iron straps and nails, set within a storage and carrying frame; also constructed of elm, with an iron framework. The frame features pierced panels with carved, cloud form figures, top and bottom, and it displays large, carved and pierced floral elements as side supports. It retains its original, polychrome, painted finish. It makes a most unusual and useful storage piece.
