This large chest was hand fashioned in a very dressy design. It features inlaid ebony floral decoration on the apron of the base, inlaid borders and applied ebony borders and ogee details down the corners of the piece. The base houses three, small drawers over a very deep, scalloped apron, terminating on bold, knopfed feet. It also displays brass, shield-shaped keyhole escutcheons. It is an elegant piece, affording wonderful storage.
