Very architectural in form, the frame of this large mirror comprises a heavy, breakfront cornice surmounting a long, narrow mirror that is flanked by wide panels, carved with bold S and C scrolled details, also echoed in a panel beneath the cornice. It retains an old, painted finish in cream with brown outlines. This is a very unusual piece, making a strong statement.
